Meet Jason

Jason Truhlicka is a Case Manager at Houses of Hope, and he’s been in the role since 2024. On any given day, Jason helps people find resources, set goals, and figure out next steps—especially when it comes to employment and building a more stable future.

At its core, his work is about helping people get back on track and reminding them that a new journey is possible.

Recovery = Hope

When asked what recovery means to him, Jason keeps it simple—and powerful.

Recovery means hope. Hope in knowing you’re not alone. Hope in knowing there is a solution to addiction.

That belief shapes everything he does and how he shows up for the people he serves.

Watching Change Happen

One of the most rewarding parts of Jason’s work is seeing growth in real time. He’s watched clients build healthy relationships, repair damaged ones, and reach goals they once thought were out of reach.

Those moments—when someone realizes they’re capable of more—are what make the work feel like a blessing.

Full Circle

Jason’s connection to this work runs deep. He’s also a former participant in the Houses of Hope program and has lived through addiction himself. He knows firsthand how access to basic needs, structure, and support can help someone truly start over.

For him, this program isn’t just about recovery—it’s about becoming a healthier person and building a new life.

Why It Matters

Jason has learned that second chances are powerful. Being given an opportunity to change can open the door to hope, happiness, and a future that once felt impossible. And he’s quick to point out the role the Lincoln community plays in making that happen—supporting people as they move from hopelessness toward hope.
