A New Place to Heal
When someone is ready to take the next step in recovery, it matters that there’s a place to turn.
For 25 years, our community counted on our short-term residential treatment. When the lease ended, we knew how much people still needed that care. In May 2025, we purchased a building at 4740 A Street in Lincoln to bring residential treatment back, expand it and give our outpatient services a home under the same roof.
Today, we’re inviting you to help make this new place to heal possible. Give to the Building Better Lives in Recovery Capital Campaign.

More ways to find support
Many people know Houses of Hope through our transitional living halfway houses. We’re building on that work by giving adults more ways to get care for substance use and mental health conditions.
Short-Term Residential Treatment gives adult men a safe, structured place to focus on recovery with support around the clock. There’s time to reflect, practice new ways to cope and build skills for daily life after treatment.
Outpatient Services give adult men and women access to licensed counselors for substance use evaluations, outpatient treatment and intensive outpatient programming. People can get care while staying connected to their daily lives.
Getting connected to care can be especially hard for people without adequate insurance or those navigating the criminal legal system. By working with probation, problem-solving courts and the Lancaster County Crisis Center, we can help more people find the support they need.
Help build better lives in recovery
Houses of Hope used reserves to purchase the building. The renovation project totals $3.6 million, including furnishings, a contingency and funds set aside for future maintenance.
Your gift helps make room for the everyday work of recovery. That might mean sitting down with a counselor for the first time, learning how to get through a difficult day or making a plan for life after treatment. It starts with having a place to turn. You can help make that place possible.
